Strict Machine

I like this picture.

No, that's not the purpose of this posting. The days have been rather slow. Still, I've been going to fun places and I'm yet to blog about them.

I start summer school tomorrow. No wait, make that 8 hours! O_O Its passed my bedtime!

Oh shit, I almost forgot to post my spring semester grades!

Spring 2008 Grades

SPAN 121-- Spanish II: C
Wow, this was probably one of the most challenging classes I've ever taken. Memorizing Spanish can be hard, but what made the class challenging was its homework! I had homework everyday and it never gave me time to focus on my other assignments. Worst, my procrastination did a good amount of damage to my grade. It didn't help that I'd often come to class late and the professor would scold me!
I'm soooo not taking Spanish next semester!
ES 006-- Total Body Fitness: A
Yep, I repeated the class and got an "A"!
HIST 105-- Early Western Civilization: B
I was heading towards the "A" direction until I ran out of time during my final. I didn't finish it. :( What frustrated me the most was the fact that Spanish homework was keeping me from studying history! It was unfortunate because the class was interesting and I didn't do enough reading.
CCS 115-- Cross-Cultural Awareness: B
Probably one of the most interesting classes I've ever taken. I learned more about myself! I never knew how "white washed" I was. Its not a bad thing to me, really. By the way, I'm biracial and embrace it more than having to "choose sides."

In sad news, I found out that I still have to submit a portfolio in order to get into CSUN's film program, regardless if I use the TAG! :( I now feel hopeless. No wonder I've been feeling down about college for the last couple of days.

But wait, there's more sad news!

I won't be able to attend Anime Expo this year. Basically, I have no way to get there and no place to stay. I know I seem pathetic for saying those things, but the circumstances are unfortunate because they're stupid and beyond my control. (Hint: it involves a guy who's trying to save money on electric bills by breaking every lightbulb in his house!)

What's so important about Anime Expo? Well, the AX is a very fun, interesting, and exciting anime convention. As an anime fan myself, who've had life-changing memories there, it is a "can't miss." It has become a summer tradition of mine to attend the AX. I've also gotten my relatives and friends to come. Unfortunately, this will be the first time in four years that I won't be attending. *sigh*

At least I'll be going to Comic Con...

In other news, my fuck buddy Mike is spending a month in Japan right now. I miss him but I hope he and his friend will have a very fun time there.

Ewww... summer school...

Awwww.... the you still have next year. Besides, school will be done so, you won't have a reason to miss AX next summer, right?

I say, just submit a portfolio with whatever you have. It's better than just giving up and not submitting anything at all. :)
